THE WORLD, 2061
FADE IN:EXT. PARIS (FRANCE) – DAY (2061)
ON THE EIFFEL TOWER – Seems darker.
The ambiance around seems darker too. People seem sad. Some of the men and women wear black suits. They wear earpieces. They look like security guards, but they are actually demons working as security guards.
It has nothing to do with the Paris we all know.
CUT TO:
EXT. LONDON (UNITED KINGDOM) – DAY (2061)ON THE BIG BEN AND THE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT – The scenario it’s the same here.
People walk down the streets with their glare down. Demons, both male, and female secure the streets.
CUT TO:
EXT. RIO DE JANEIRO (BRASIL) – DAY (2061)ON THE CHRIST THE REDEEMER AND THE SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN – Same scenario here.
CUT TO:
EXT. NEW YORK (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) – DAY – (2061)ON STATUE OF LIBERTY AND MANHATTAN – Things are the same here.
What a dark World!
CUT TO:
EXT. SAN FRANCISCO – DAY (2061)ON GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE – Same scenario. The bridge seems darker than before. The whole World seems darker. The air itself seems darker.
CUT TO:
EXT. SAN FRANCISCO – STREET – DAY (2061)A group of people is reunited before a small old building. Some demoniac security guards are around them, controlling the group of spectators.
And then ---
SOUND – EXPLOSION. The building the group of people is looking at, it explodes.
Some of them seem sad about it.
MAN
(to a woman next to him)
Where there people inside?
WOMAN
A group of rebels. They resisted all they could.
MAN
They just killed them?
The woman glances at the man.
WOMAN
Look at them ---
The man looks at the Demonic Security Guards.
WOMAN (CONT'D)
Whoever is against them has only one way out ---
(pauses)
--- Death.
MAN
I was a kid, but I still remember when this world was beautiful.
WOMAN
It’s a dark world now. Ruled by evil. They don’t even care about their own kind. Witches or humans. If you are not with them, you are against them.
MAN
Are you a witch?
She nods yes.
WOMAN
One of the few that still resist this evil world.
Then, the Demonic Security Guards start asking the group of spectators to disperse.
CUT TO:
EXT. SAN FRANCISCO – ALLEY – DAY (2061)A witch, TALITHA (28), comes running desperately. She’s holding some small object in her hands. Every now and then she looks over her shoulder and keeps running.
ON A PILE OF PALLETS – They fall on the ground like if someone had thrown them magically speaking.
Talitha stops. She is scared. Truly scared. She feels people approaching from behind.
PRUE (O.S.)
There’s no way out, Talitha.
Talitha turns around and ---
BEAT. In front of her, there’s an older Prue. Older, but still young. Like years don’t pass for this woman. She’s twenty-six years older but looks like in her 30’s. She is wearing black pants, a black top, and black leather jacket. Her expression ---
Prue looks imposing. Tough. Severe. Heartless. Wicked. Evil.
Behind Prue, there’s a blonde woman standing there. She’s wearing a black set of pants and a top. Evil is notorious in her face.
TALITHA
You can’t have it.
PRUE
I can and I will.
Talitha holds whatever she has in her hands with all the strength she’s got.
Prue reaches out her hand with the palm turned up.
PRUE (CONT'D)
Hand it to me, Talitha and I might give you a chance to scape.
TALITHA
Never. You can’t have the stone.
The blonde woman behind Prue steps forward.
MICHAELA
Hand it over or you’ll have a painful death.
PRUE
(bossy)
Step back, Michaela. I’ll handle this.
BEAT – This woman is not other than Michaela, the Firestarter. Older, but just like Prue, it seems like the years haven't passed for her.
Michaela glances at Prue and then does as she said. Prue turns to Talitha.
PRUE (CONT'D)
I don’t want to kill you, Talitha. You could be an asset to us.
TALITHA
I don’t want to be an asset to you or any of your kind.
PRUE
Show some respect to me, girl.
A tear comes running down Talitha’s face. Maybe she knows what the future holds for her.
TALITHA
You are not my Queen.
Prue WAVES her hand and whatever Talitha is holding DISAPPEARS from her hand and REAPPEARS in Prue’s hand.
ON PRUE’S HAND – A small stone APPEARS THERE. It is dark purple.
Talitha looks at her empty hands. She looks up at Prue.
TALITHA (CONT'D)
Please ---
Prue looks at the stone and smiles. She closes her hand over the stone.
PRUE
I wish we could do this the easy way, Talitha.
ON MICHAELA – She smirks.
Michaels touches her temples and starts focusing. A ball of fire starts forming in front of Michaela. Talitha looks at it and gets even more scared.
TALITHA
Please, don’t resurrect the Terracotta Army. Please.
Prue stares at Talitha.
ON THE BALL OF FIRE – It gets bigger and bigger.
OFF TO – And older Melinda ORBS in, surrounded in purple orbs, behind Talitha. Unlike Prue, Melinda looks older. She has some white hair that is visible in her blonde hair.
MELINDA
Prue, don’t!
Prue looks at Melinda.
PRUE
Mel.
Melinda runs towards Talitha.
ON MICHAELA – She throws the ball of fire against Talitha as Melinda runs towards her.
Prue WAVES her hands, deviating the ball of fire against the pile of pallets.
Melinda stands before Talitha staring at Prue.
MELINDA
That stone is powerful, Prue. Please don’t use it.
PRUE
You can’t tell me what to do Mel. Now, I can ask you to leave.
MELINDA
You can’t tell what to do either, Prue.
PRUE
I’m your Queen.
MELINDA
You are my cousin.
MICHAELA
We should end them both.
PRUE
(bossy)
Step back, Michaela. I’m warning you.
MICHAELA
Yes, boss.
Michaela steps back staring at Melinda.
PRUE
Leave, Mel.
MELINDA
No.
Not thinking twice, Michaela, behind Prue, creates a big FIREBALL.
OFF TO SOMEONE ORBING IN SURROUNDED BY PURPLES ORBS – Jo ORBS in.
JO
Aunt Mel.
Prue, Melinda, and Talitha look at Jo.
Michaela throws the FIREBALL against Melinda and Talitha.
JO (CONT'D)
Watch out!
Melinda and Talitha turn around but are not too fast to deviate from the ball of fire. Even Prue is not too fast to deviate the FIREBALL herself. Both Melinda and Talitha get hit.
Jo runs quickly to Melinda whos laying on the floor.
ON MELINDA – Her eyes are open. She seems ---
JO (CONT'D)
(out loud)
NOOOO!
ON MELINDA – Death.
Prue is astonished. She looks back at Michaela.
PRUE
(mad)
What did you do?
MICHAELA
My orders were to kill.
PRUE
(upset)
Well, you answer to me and my orders to you were to step back.
Prue turns to Melinda and Jo.
ON MELINDA’S BODY – It’s covered by blood. Jo has her hand over her body. They don’t shine.
Jo is desperate. Her healing powers are not working.
PRUE (CONT'D)
(to Michaela)
LEAVE!
Michaela stares at Prue.
PRUE (CONT'D)
NOW!
Michaela starts walking back. She turns around and leaves. Prue turns to Melinda and Jo.
Jo is failing in healing Melinda. She doesn’t wake up. Prue tries to approach them. Jo looks up at her mother.
JO
No. Stay away from us.
Jo shoots Prue a hateful glare. Prue stops.
JO (CONT'D)
(looks at Melinda)
She’s dead.
PRUE
No.
A tear runs down Prue’s face.
OFF TO MATT – He ORBS in and looks at them.
MATT
What happened?
Matt approaches them.
JO
(looks at Prue)
She killed her.
PRUE
No.
Matt lowers down next to Melinda and puts his hands over her. Nothing. Jo cries hard.
JO
She cannot die, Matt.
Matt’s expression changes to sad.
JO (CONT'D)
She’s the only mother I ever knew.
Jo glances at Prue.
JO (CONT'D)
She killed her.
PRUE
I’m so sorry ---
(pauses)
--- I didn’t mean to ---
Jo stands. She looks at Prue with hate.
JO
You’ll carry her death on your shoulders for as long as you’ll live.
PRUE
(suffering)
Don’t speak like that to me, please. I’m your mother.
JO
(crying; really upset)
The only mother I ever knew was just killed by you.
PRUE
No.
JO
Get out of my life, Prue!
Prue is suffering. She looks at Matt.
MATT
Aunt Prue ---
(pauses)
--- Please.
Prue looks at her daughter one last time and then, a dark glow originates at her heart and, she DARK BEAMS out.
Jo, with wet eyes, turns around and lowers down before Melinda. She takes Melinda’s hand while crying.
Matt puts his right hand over Melinda’s eyes and closes them.
ON MELINDA’S DEAD FACE.
CUT TO BLACK.
